INDIANAPOLIS - The board of directors for The Indianapolis Foundation has approved nearly $1 million in grant funding to 21 nonprofit organizations throughout Marion County. The grants will fund 23 programs and projects aimed at addressing issues, including education, economic development and community assistance.
The foundation, which is an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, says the grants were made possible by the unrestricted Endowment for Indianapolis. Additional funding was made possible by five "field of interest" funds, including the Christmas Fund, F.R. Hensel Fund for Fine Arts, Music and Education, James Proctor Fund for Aged Men and Women, Pauline K. Stein Fund and The Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund.
