​INBEP Strategic Impacts

​Blight remediation is an important tool used by communities to stabilize neighborhoods.  Remediation strategies are extensive and can vary from demolition and greening to rehabilitation and new construction of blighted structures.

​As of September 2016, Community Partners throughout the state of Indiana identified over 2,700 blighted properties to participate in the Indiana Blight Elimination Program (INBEP).  According to community partners and residents, the strategies used have been transformative for neighborhoods.


Division One: Lake & Marion Counties
Division Two: Allen, Hamilton, & St. Joseph Counties

Division Three: Delaware, Elkhart, Hendricks, Madison, Vanderburgh, & Vigo Counties
Division Four: Bartholomew, Boone, Dearborn, Grant, Howard, Kosciusko, Warrick, & Wayne Counties

Division Five: Cass, Clay, Daviess, Dekalb, Gibson, Greene, Henry, Jackson, Knox, Miami, Noble, Posey, Shelby, & Wabash Counties
Division Six: Blackford, Carroll, Fayette, Franklin, Jay, Ohio, Pulaski, Rush, Scott, Spencer, Starke,  & Sullivan Counties
